Andrew was born on the Yorke Peninsula where he was educated at Minlaton High School. He completed his Law Degree at the University of Adelaide in 1983 and then undertook his final 12-month training phase as an articled law clerk with Poveys under the tutelage of Mr. Max Basheer.

Andrew was admitted to the Bar in 1985 and has practised as a Solicitor, Barrister and Conveyancer since that time. He took over the Maitland practice (which is steeped in history going back many years under many names most famously Colin D Rowe and Co.) on 1st July 1987 and expanded the practice into Adelaide in 2001.

Andrew has been:

• A member of the Law Society of SA since 1985

• A member of the Law Council of Australia for over 30 years

• A Public Notary since 1992

• A fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Notaries since 2008

Coming from a rural background, he continues to practice in a broad range of legal work from Wills and Estates to Family Law, Criminal Law, Conveyancing and most things in between! You can expect a general practitioner who provides a personalised service to all his clients.

Andrew enjoys all sports, in particular Australian Rules Football and cricket and has both played and acted in administrative positions in both codes. He still believes very much in his old school motto “Factis non verbis” (deeds not words).
